The dashboard is at dashboard.vapi.ai. It creates assistants, edits the first message and the system prompt, publishes versions ("Publishing creates a new assistant version"), and gives you a Talk button that opens a web call so you can hear the agent before any phone number exists. The API is three endpoints and a bearer token. The CLI is the same platform in your terminal: "Everything you can do in the dashboard, now in your terminal." Figure 3.1 puts them side by side with the job each one is actually good at.
