Zernio Made Crystal Clear · chapter 1: The Plumbing Problem
The short history
2026-09-06
Launch dates for the core, WhatsApp, and Ads APIs are as listed on Product Hunt; the rebrand is confirmed by zernio.com/rebrand, which publishes no date. Captured 2026-08-29.
Below: the paragraph from the book that builds this idea, then the diagram itself (Figure 1.3), and a recap. About a minute of reading.
The product is young and moving fast, and its short history matters when you are choosing infrastructure, so here it is plainly. Zernio launched as Late (getlate.dev) in 2025 and rebranded to Zernio. The company's rebrand page promises "zero breaking changes": same API keys, 100% compatibility, permanent redirects from getlate.dev, and a 6-month grace period for the old SDK package names. The old name still peeks through in places you will actually meet, most usefully the legacy X-Late-* webhook headers that remain valid alongside the X-Zernio-* ones, and the latewiz open-source scheduler in the GitHub org. If you see "Late" on a review site listing, it is the same product under its first name, not a different vendor. Figure 1.3 puts the short history on one line.
